How to stop Huawei from automatically closing Guardy on EMUI 8.0
1. On your Huawei device, go to Settings and tap Battery.
2. Disable both Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode.
3. Next tap Launch.
4. Find and tap the Guardy app to disable the Manage automatically setting.
5. Ensure Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background are all enabled.
6. Click OK. Guardy is no longer being managed automatically.
7. Now let’s modify the cleanup settings on your Huawei device to protect the settings you just changed. Open Phone Manager.
8. Click the Cleanup icon.
9. Click the Settings icon.
10. Deactivate Auto cleanup.
11. Done!

1. On your Huawei device, go to Settings > Apps.
2. Tap the Settings icon.
3. Tap Special Access.
4. Tap Usage access.
5(a). Ensure Guardy is set to on.
5(b). If it is not set to on, tap and enable Allow usage access, as shown in the image below.
6. Go back to Settings > Battery.
7. Make sure Power saving mode and Ultra power saving are both deactivated. Tap Close apps on screen lock.
8. Search for Guardy and ensure Won’t be closed is displayed, as shown in the image below.
9. Go back and tap the Settings icon on the top right of the screen.
10. Ensure the Power-intensive prompt and Close excessively power-intensive apps settings are disabled, as shown in the image.
11. Now let’s modify the cleanup settings on your Huawei device to protect the settings you just changed. Open Phone Manager.
12. Tap Cleanup.
13. Next, tap the Settings icon on the top right of the screen.
14. Disable Automatic cleanup.
